ConocoPhillips given consent for use of West Linus at Tor

ConocoPhillips have been given consent by the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway for the use of West Linus mobile facility for the Tor Field.
The consent covers completion and drilling of eight wells in connection with new development of the Tor field (Tor II).
West Linus is a jack-up facility of the Gusto MSC CJ70-X150A type which is owned by Seadrill. West Linus received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) from the PSA in 2014.
The field lies in the Norwegian North Sea initially on stream until 2015. A new plan for development and operation (PDO) OF Tor II was approved this year. and the field is now being developed with a subsea solution based on two seabed templates and a tieback to Ekofisk for processing and export. Production is expected to begin 2020.
