The Eiffage Génie Civil Marine and Saipem SA consortium selected for the Hub/Terminal of theTortue/Ahmeyim Field Development with an initial contract placed for front-end engineering and execution readiness

Friday 1 March 2019

Eiffage Génie Civil Marine today announced that a consortium formed with Saipem SA
has been selected to perform front-end engineering design (FEED) studies and
execution preparation for the Hub/Terminal for BP’s Tortue/Ahmeyim Field
Development, a major LNG project located on the maritime border of Mauritania and
Senegal. The Hub/Terminal is located 10 km from shore and encompasses berthing
facilities for a permanently moored FLNG and the loading of LNG Carriers, and is
protected by an offshore breakwater.

During this initial engineering phase, the Consortium, led by Eiffage Génie Civil Marine,
will work on defining the design of the infrastructures and the execution plan. The
FEED is scheduled to begin and complete this year. The agreement contains a
mechanism to allow transition of the contract to a lump sum EPCI contract at a later
date.

The initial subsea infrastructure connects the first four wells at more than 2800 m
depth, consolidated through 75 km length production pipelines leading to a floating
production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel. From here liquids are removed and
the export gas is transported via a 35 km pipeline to the floating liquid natural gas
(FLNG) hub terminal where the gas is liquefied.

The Tortue/Ahmeyim Field Development is located in the C-8 block off the shore of
Mauritania and the Saint-Louis Profond block offshore Senegal. The Tortue discovery
was made by Kosmos Energy, which farmed down its investment to BP in December
2016. BP now has the largest interest (~60%) among the four partners in the project
and is the operator.
