Bilfinger Wins Norway Deals

Platform maintenance contractor Bilfinger has secured lucrative deals with a pair of long-standing clients worth a total of €270 million ($302 million) for work off Norway.

Bilfinger has gained a €110 million two-year extension of an existing contract with the state-owned operator to provide insulation, scaffolding and corrosion protection on production facilities at the Oseberg, Snorre, Veslefrikk and Huldra oil and gas fields.

It has also gained a new 10-year deal with Statoil for work on the Hammerfest LNG plant on the island of Melkoya in northern Norway that serves the Snohvit gas field.

In addition, Bilfinger said it had gained a contract worth €160 million over a five-year term with an unnamed oil and gas company for maintenance of facilities off Norway.
