CNOOC announces the start of production of Phase I development project of Bozhong 19-6 condensate gas field

China National Offshore Oil Corporation announce that the Bozhong 19-6 condensate gas field phase I development project has been put into operation.

The project is located in the central Bohai Sea, with an average water depth of about 20 meters. The main production facilities include a newly built central processing platform, three unmanned wellhead platforms and a natural gas processing terminal. It is planned to put 65 development wells into production, including 42 oil and gas wells, 20 gas injection wells and 3 water source wells. Peak production of approximately 37,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day is expected to be achieved in 2024.

Mr. Zhou Xinhuai, CEO and President of the company, said: "This project is the first 100 billion cubic meters of condensate gas field put into production in the Bohai Bay relying on the Bozhong-Kenli Oilfield Group shore power project. It will provide more energy for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Bohai Rim regions. Stable and reliable clean energy supply, and effectively promote the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of CNOOC."
