Petroleum Safety Authority Norway Audit of Equinor – Snorre Expansion Project

The audit was conducted on 5 and 6 February 2019.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to ensure that fabrication of the subsea Christmas tree for the Snorre expansion project complied with the company’s own requirements and requirements in the regulations. A sub-goal was to follow up how the project is undertaking its supervisory duty in respect of its supplier, TechnipFMC.

Result

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway did not identify any non-conformities during the audit, but they observed two areas with potential for improvement. These related to follow-up of suppliers and qualification of materials.

What happens now?

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway have asked Equinor for feedback by 11 April 2019.
